IIRR President Isaac Bekalo congratulates PRRM on its 60th anniversary

IIRR President Isaac BekaloIn behalf of IIRR staff, management and trustees, I would like to express our deepest joy and congratulations to PRRM staff,  management and board on your 60th anniversary celebration.

The Rural Reconstruction work which started with our founding father, Dr. Y.C. James Yen, has become a generational history where the vision and spirit continuously become infectious.

When the Philippines was chosen for the first experiment outside of China, the main selection criterion used was “the presence of public-spirited civic leaders who showed a profound concern for the sad plight of their peasant countrymen”. I am convinced that those of you, who gathered today to celebrate the 60th anniversary of PRRM, represent the public-spirited leaders and congratulations on your “staying power”.

Most Sincerely,

Isaac Bekalo
