Every year on or near PRRM’s founding anniversary date on July 17, former PRRM staff, partner NGOs and friends gather in PRRM to eat, sing and dance the anniversary night away. In July 17 of this year, over 150 current and former staff, friends, partners and guests of PRRM got together in the penthouse of the PRRM building to partake of dinner, drinks, wine, song and memories.
If last year’s largest PRRM contingent was from Nueva Vizcaya, this year’s anniversary party was attended by at least 20 former and current staff and partner PO leaders from Bataan.
Generous with their rendition of original and cover songs were Archie and Mel, Harana, Kuyang Jess Santiago and Noel Cabangon. The anniversary night would not have been complete without the Village Idiots, originally the RR Band formed in the 90s from among PRRM staff.
PRRM long-time friend and supporter, Mr. Frank Hanrath, helped cap the night with song numbers followed by group dancing into the early morning of the following day.
As a token of PRRM’s 60th, all PRRMers were gifted with a tall drinking glass marked with the Credo of Rural Reconstruction.
PRRM thanks everyone who helped make the anniversary celebration a memorable success!
