POLAC Representative to the PRRM Board of Trustees

RAFAEL P. SARUCAM or Ka Raffy is the current head/convenor of the People’s Organizations Leaders Caucus (POLAC) which is composed of five national sectoral federations of women, youth, rice farmers, coconut farmers and fisherfolks.

Ka Raffy is currently the national chairman of Nagkakaisang Ugnayan ng mga Magsasaka at Manggagawa sa Niyugan (NIUGAN), a national federation of coconut farmer organizations.

He is a member of the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) Governing Board since September 2010 to present.

He was a three-term Sangguniang Barangay Kagawad, Pamahalaan ng Barangay Cabusay, Labo, Camarines Norte.

He is also affiliated with Dukha Hawak Kamay Association, Inc. (DHKAI), an organization for the urban poor; Philippine Federation for Environmental Concerns (PFEC) and Coconut Industry Reform (COIR) Movement, Inc.

Ka Raffy hails from the province of Camarines Norte. Aside from his skills in community organizing, coco advocacy and PO leadership, he is also trained in herbal medicine and acupressure treatment.
