PRRM Trustee

Marlon was Vice President of PRRM and was in charge of movement building and field operations and sustainable livelihood program of the institution. He is Executive Director of the International Network of Alternative Financial Institutions (INAFI-Phils) since June 2004. He is also currently the Managing Director of the PRRM Microfinance Inc., the PRRM RRTrade Inc. and a Director of the Lagawe Highlands Rural Bank (LHRBI) among others.

He served as a Consultant and Director IV of the Special Concerns Bureau of the Department of Agrarian Reform from June 1998 to February 1999 and Assistant Vice President, Assistant Field Operations Manager, Branch Manager, and Assistant Branch Manager of the Philippine Rural Reconstruction Movement from 1990 to 2004.

He also chaired credit and lending corporations and Microfinance Institutions and Social Enterprises from 2000 to present.

He has extensive experience in overall project management. His involvement includes Integrated Area Development Operations, Coastal Resource Management Operations, Anti-child Labor Projects, Renewable Energy Projects, Community-Based Conservation and Development Projects, Social Enterprise Development Projects, Rural Finance Projects among others.

He is also a development consultant and project evaluator of area development projects, social enterprise projects and microfinance operations. He has also attended and or presented papers in international conferences in Latin America, Africa and Asia.

His knowledge covers the entire project cycle: from situation analysis and problem identification and prioritization, to project identification, conceptualization, design and development to project packaging and negotiation for funding, to actual implementation, management, monitoring and evaluation.

He also has expertise in training, skilling and mentoring social enterprise operations having been involved in setting up and mentoring of social enterprises and other business entities.

He is a graduate of BS in Architecture, Araullo University and of Master in Entrepreneurship for Social Development, Asian Institute of Management (2003). He also studied Development Management at El Taller, Tunis, Tunisia (1993).
