George Cana-an Sanchez

Currently, he is a practicing Licensed Real Estate Broker. He is currently the Senior Vice President of the Philippine Association of Real Estate Board, Inc., (PAREB) the largest and oldest real estate service organization in the Philippine. He held various positions in PAREB, such as National Director in 2013, Chairman of the Board in 2012, Senior Vice President (PAREB) CY 2011. Past V.P. for the Visayas (2010). President, PAREB – Negros Occidental Realtors Board, Inc. CY 2010 & 2011. Past National Director of REBAP (2001), Past President of REBAP Negros Chapter in 2002 and 2003. Board Chair in 2004 and 2005. He is a Lifetime Member of PAREB.

He has been actively involved in the PAREB International Alliance Program and signatory thereof of bi-lateral MOU’s since 2011 till 2013.

He has been an accredited lecturer/trainor in the Comprehensive Real Estate Seminar for Licensure Examination and Continuing Education Program (CEP) of the Department of Trade and Industry since 2004 till 2008. He has been an accredited and certified as Lecturer/Trainor of Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) /PRBRES in its Professional Training Program. He has been a lecturer in the Effective Conduct of Business Meeting and the Parliamentary Procedures since 1980s.

He is an accredited Supreme Court and Philippine Mediation Center court-annexed Mediator since 2004 till 2012 based in Bacolod City. He has been a Mediator Course Program Trainor of the Justice Reforms Initiatives Support (JURIS) Project of the joint PHILJA-CIDA-Canada-NJI. Designated as Arbitrator in the Philippine Dispute Resolution Center, Inc. in 2012.

He has extensive entrepreneurial management experience in the field of marketing, trading, cargo-transport operation, restaurant and hotel operation, sugar-aqua farming, arrastre/stevedoring operation, real estate service practice, cable television/channel operation, entertainment events promotions, land reclamation & port development operations and business consultancies.

He has been elected as PRRM Trustee since 2006. He is the Corporate Secretary of PRRM-National (2009-2015). Since 1994, he is a member of the Board of Directors of the Metro Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a member of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

He has a stint in public governance serving as Secretary to the Mayor, Chief of Staff, 1980-86 and ‘88 in the City of Bacolod.

He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Commerce, major in Banking and Finance at the La Salle College, Bacolod City. He holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and a candidate for a Masteral Degree in Business Administration.
